We offer microsuction, which is the NHS gold-standard treatment for earwax removal and supported by National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidance. As the procedure is performed under direct vision, it is the safest method of earwax removal.
Sometimes, earwax removal is performed by less experienced practitioners, which can increase the known risks of ear trauma or infection. To mitigate this, practitioners at The Unplugged Ear are current and experienced ENT doctors in the NHS with a wealth of experience.
Routine ear wax removal is no longer offered by the NHS, and The Unplugged Ear offers a safe and effective solution by providing this service to satisfy our patients.
We endeavour to provide a microsuction service for ALL patients in a more timely manner, in a more relaxed and convenient environment.
Amit is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has extensive experience in microsuction ear wax removal in the NHS and is currently working as an ENT Registrar in Oxford. He regularly trains medical students and junior doctors in ear procedures such as microsuction.
